Editorial policy

Product facts on this site (the three heat levels with their temperatures and hours, the size and weight, the cable in the box) are the figures printed for the pair itself. When the pair does not state something, such as a charge time or a battery capacity, we leave it out rather than guess.

Rules and facts in the guides, such as how wind cools exposed skin, how cold weather affects a lithium battery or how to fly with one, come from sources we opened and read. Each guide lists them with the date we read them.

The ratings on our pages are real buyer ratings, counted per product family and printed as they stand: the average, the total and the share of each star. We do not write reviews on behalf of buyers.
